We had 16 Facebook referrals yesterday – 9 were for the Outlook program on John Winant – 2 from CA, NY and 1 each from NH, Co, ME, TX and DC. We also had 2 facebook referrals for Passport
In other geeky news, Bing has overtaken Yahoo as the second place Search Engine yesterday for NHPTV traffic. I have been following the Bing Yahoo battle on our site. When school was in session, Bing performed better. I assumed that it wouldn’t out perform Yahoo again until August, but low and behold it was neck and neck with Yahoo on Monday and beat it yesterday. This means one of three things – we had more young folks coming to our site yesterday, summer school is in session, or Bing is picking up market share (or it just could be an anomaly)
The news today seems to point in the market share direction! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10628973
Here are the market share numbers for Google, Bing, and Yahoo
Google – 62.6%
Yahoo – 18.9%
Bing – 12.7%
Here are our numbers from January-May
Google – 80.36%
Bing – 8.01%
Yahoo – 6.56%
And for June-to date
Google – 79.41%
Yahoo – 7.71%
Bing – 7.17%
And that ends the moment of geek.
As usual, the full numbers are in P.
